Shot on 16mm with wind-up Bolex cameras in the backyard of a dazzlingly funny comedian, Jacqueline Novak on Film captures a stream-of-consciousness performance that’s electric, revealing, and honest. We shot for about two hours and came away with roughly 24 minutes of footage. My job was to cut it into one cohesive six minute portrait. It was a thrilling challenge.
